PRODUCT MANAGER, Incontinence - Remote

This company is out of Italy and has a successful hygiene business that has been around for 60 years. They are starting to reposition themselves and have already entered into the US Market with an office and a US CEO. They have a successful DTC business in Italy and will be replicating that in the US along with going after Brick & Mortar Accounts. They are looking to triple their product offering in the US and looking to source from US Manufactures what their Italian parent company cannot produce. WFH, but prefer Eastern Time Zone.

Product Development Manager – Dry Direct Brand (75% of time, effort and bandwidth)

  • Build out and build up our Dry Direct Incontinence Line:
    • Augment existing 35 sku business sourced from Italy, (Premium Made in Italy Incontinence Products: Adult Underwear, Briefs, Pads, Wipes, etc.) with product line and category extensions to support sales and margin growth - for US Market now – with growing sales channels and global potential
    • Own priority development and launch of Fem Care Incontinence line from Italy
    • Travel to Italy 2x a yr / required
  • Sourcing of products under the Dry Direct brand from global suppliers that dovetail with our emerging global supply chain and North American fulfillment:
    • Ability to build out a line of private label products and meaningfully grow our business and brand awareness via great products that sell
    • Be a merchant for the Brand:
      • Develop a supplier base that is scalable and forward looking – keeping Dry Direct incontinence products innovative and offering great performance at a marketable price
      • Sourcing can be global, with an eye towards great product that is executable
      • Research, present, and develop logical product extensions beyond current assortment
      • Negotiate competitively priced, saleable products - delivering value to our customers and margin to our business
  • Organization and attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to use spreadsheets, software, and online collaboration to manage product and line development on a global scale
  • Define configuration of products:
    • Units of measure
    • Bag / Carton
    • Packaging
    • Into the Weeds Execution
    • GTIN admin
    • UPC admin
  • Develop:
    • Pricing
    • Margin
    • Target Retails (DTC and Marketplaces
  • CPG, Personal Care products experience preferred

Sourcing Advisor for the company (25% of time, effort, and bandwidth)

  • Break away from your private label work and go to shows and or court suppliers and get inspired - Identify glaring holes in the company’s online assortment and fill accordingly with new dropship suppliers that could ultimately be within our own fulfillment network (resellers and distributors can also work – as long as we can better satisfy our aging customers long-term).  You will have a merchant’s eye for quality and innovative brands and products – anything to better serve our aging customers – from grocery to food to DME to fashion to other goods and services:
    • Our business does better when we sell more to existing customers
    • Our company assortments are old and need a post Covid jumpstart
    • We want more share of wallet in our customers CLTR (Customer Lifetime Revenue)
    • Work with our Web Merchandiser to ensure any and all resellers meet our minimum doing business with requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in retail, CPG or healthcare product development organization with analytical, merchandising or product development experience
  • Strong strategic and analytics skills with demonstrated ability to turn into actionable strategic frameworks and operational plans
  • Ability to prioritize and deliver on multiple concurrent initiatives that have significant financial impact
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of retail growth drivers
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills; capable of influencing and driving collaboration at all levels within the organization, as well as externally in business development and supplier management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience including Consumer Products with New Products, Financial, and Cross-functional Project Team Management responsibility
