PRINT DESIGNER - Freelance

Main Functions:

• Create original prints and graphic designs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator programs. Should be able to create pattern repeat designs, and apply them in garment style sketches.
• Recolor existing artworks. Should have a good eye for color combinations and understand the target market to propose relevant designs.
• Create original graphic placement designs for screen printing or embroidery.
• Create patterns for yarn dye woven textiles.
• Conduct research for trends and new ideas for color, prints, graphics and fabrics.
• Create print ready art files to send to the mills for sampling and production.
• Responsible for receiving strike-off submits and making comments on color and printing quality. 
• Organizing, filing, and keeping records off fabric submits. 
• Maintaining digital archives of print designs for every brand.
• Create print presentations for our house brands, private label clients, and exclusive programs upon request.

Qualifications:

• Degree in textile design, fashion design, or related fields.
• High level skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Extensive hand-drawing or illustration skills, as well as photo manipulation using advanced features in Photoshop.
• Good color sense.
• Very organized and good time management skills.
• Flexibility to design within multiple styles to match every brand's aesthetic.
• Strong knowledge of textiles including printing, weaving, knitting, and embroidery methods.
• Good communication skills.
