DIRECTOR OF DISTRIBUTION AND FULFILLMENT

Our client is seeking a Director of Distribution and Fulfillment.  This senior role will be responsible for Distribution and Fulfillment for an apparel company.  The role encompasses both wholesale and DTC operations.  It is a critical leadership position, interacting with all divisions and offering an exciting opportunity to enhance the company’s service levels to meet internal and external customers’ expectations regarding cost competitiveness, on-time delivery, and fulfillment capabilities.  The ideal candidate is from the apparel industry and has 3PL leadership experience. Client will offer relocation assistance to the Atlanta, Georgia area. 

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operation of a large fulfillment center in the Atlanta, Georgia area. 
• Be responsible for the seamless transition of businesses currently operating elsewhere, from a 3PL, to this facility.
• Work within a newly implemented WMS system. 
• Maintain responsibility for Receiving, Picking, and Packing.
• Set the annual budget.
• Establish and report on SLAs and other performance metrics.
• Provide support for both retail (DTC) as well as wholesale customers.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a multi-client environment (3PL)
• Knowledge of EDI functions 
• Experience with Domestic and international fulfillment
• Experience leading a distribution and fulfillment facility
• Excellent communication skills
• Hands on management /leadership
• Systems savvy / EDI experience
• 3PL experience a plus
• Experience in apparel industry a plus but will consider consumer products background
