SENIOR FASHION DESIGNER - Children's Activewear Apparel

Reflex Performance Resources Inc., a leading activewear brand, is currently in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fashion Designer with a focus on Kids' Activewear. We are looking for a creative and talented individual to join our design team and work closely with our head designer in  developing innovative and captivating activewear collections for children each season. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Conduct research on emerging trends and innovations to drive business growth 
• Explore fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, and graphics suitable for kids' activewear 
• Analyze market trends for inspiration and competitive advantage 
• Develop comprehensive trend reports, CADs, and design detail pages for seasonal children's collections 
• Create unique designs for girls and boys activewear sets and separates across various accounts and brands 
• Recolor prints and generate production-ready graphic artwork files 
• Collaborate with the head designer and cross-functional teams to develop brand-specific styles aligned with merchandising strategies
• Work with Technical and Production teams to ensure design details and fit meet brand expectations 
• Produce effective selling tools, including presentation boards, line sheets, color cards, and other relevant design materials
• Adapt to additional responsibilities and support the design team in meeting deadlines and calendar deliveries 
• Communicate with overseas vendors as needed 

Qualifications and Skills: 

• A minimum 7 years of experience in apparel design 
• At least 5 years of experience in children's apparel design preferred 
• Print and graphic design experience highly desirable 
• Proficient in MAC/Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop 
• Familiarity with MS Office applications 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced work environment 
• Strong understanding of trends, colors, fabrics, trims, fit, and construction 
• Creative, strategic, and technical thinking abilities 
• Exceptional attention to detail 
• Degree in fashion design or a related field 
• Team player with a positive attitude toward feedback 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Knowledge of print design is a plus

Salary: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year 

Schedule: 

• 8 hour shift

New York, NY 10018: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) 

Experience: 

• Garment construction: 7 years (Preferred) 
• Fashion design: 5 years (Preferred) 
• Adobe Illustrator: 5 years (Preferred)
